There are many benefits of hosting a BCRPA Playground Safety Awareness Course, including:

  • Maintaining efficiencies at your operation
  • Maintaining a safe work/play environment
  • Enhancing your staff’s knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Mitigating risk

Summary of Course Details

  • BCRPA will charge the Host organization a $155/person course fee 
  • The Host charges public a fee to offset overhead cost
  • The Host receives one free registrant space in exchange for the use of workshop space
  • Duration of the course is 7.5-8 hours (including breaks)
  • The Host site will need access to a playground for this course
  • Class size: Minimum 12 people, maximum 20
  • Participants recieve a Certificate upon successful completion, course manual included
  • BCRPA covers course instructor fee.  Host will be billed for instructor expenses if travel is involved (travel & accommodation)

How to Host

Complete the steps below if you would like to host a course in your facility.

1. Complete and send in the BCRPA Course Request Form, which includes:

  • Potential dates and times
  • Location
  • Whether the course is open to the public

2. Confirm with the Coordinator the following information:

  • Instructor availability
  • Promotion details (BCRPA website and email communiqué)
  • Administration details
