Highlights:

Everything we do is made better because we work together. As we inject design expertise and disciplines into our practice, we find new, evolutionary ways to solve problems. In a fast-paced world of increasingly complex challenges, we have found that designing for a better future requires a more integrated approach, whether that be creating experiences that create transformational empathy, hosting conversations that connect a wide range of people, or creating compelling stories that capture the imagination.
We believe in the power of design to serve as a tool for social impact, and to that end, have committed to understand, develop, and implement tangible strategies that enhance accessibility and inclusivity in the buildings we create. We are now recognized as thought leaders in this field and are proud to incorporate best practices in inclusive and accessible design as a matter of course for our projects. We continuously challenge ourselves to advance our designs for equity, inclusion, security, and adaptability.
Our sport and recreation and community centre experience is unparalleled. Our projects have included virtually every type of indoor athletic space, including gymnasia, fitness facilities, ice facilities, aquatic facilities and court facilities, resulting in an unmatched portfolio of work. We have extensive experience with ice slab work and retrofitting existing facilities.
Throughout the Symposium, we will be highlighting The Space Between, a video series highlighting the humble, sometimes overlooked in-between spaces where spontaneous connections occur. The conversation held with a stranger while watching a game, the coffee shared between neighbours, the mentorship provided to someone learning a new skill. This is where the magic happens--the magic that we as designers are so dedicated to creating.
